Challenge: Twice A Week
Rating: PG13
Warnings Suggestion of bestiality
Pairings: Hermione/Sirius
Word Count: 139
Summary: Continuation of Naughty Touching
Author's Note: This is the result of a conversation between [livejournal.com profile] wildeagainand myself about how to get squicky with it. In all honesty it is a very, very tame because I just couldn't make it go dirty.

Sensing that she had taken her accidental naughty touching more seriously than she ought to, Sirius transformed back into a wizard and walked over to where she was quietly talking to Harry and Ginny. Throwing an arm around her shoulders and tossing a wink to Harry and Ginny, he steered her away for a private word.

"What's wrong?" he asked patiently, hiding his exasperation about this part of her personality.

"Nothing," she lied. "Why?"

"Whether I look like this, or I look like Snuffles, you know it is always me in there, don't you?"

Hermione nodded.

"Good, because we come here twice a week and James is only going to get bigger and more rambunctious, could happen again."

Watching her cheeks flush with color prompted him to tease her by adding, "Maybe you and Snuffles should get better acquainted."

I think it's easy to simplify and write off this aspect of Sirius and SB/HG on either side of the coin. Obviously the majority rule seems to be "ew no" which then shies any adventurous writer away from even trying it.

The thing is, it's just another aspect of the character that makes it that much more deep and complex, the actual sex of it being pretty small compared to the more symbolic and mental stuff. I guess the main thing that comes to mind is, on one hand, Snuffles is such a simple and pure costume to wear, it's like a way to free Sirius' own innocence for a bit. On the other hand, there's the primal beast aspect of it. And there's also how his relationships with other people when he's Snuffles colors the personal dynamics.

So really, squick is the least of it, imo.

However, I think you've done a great job of painting an opening here. I love Sirius' exasperation and teasing - it's perfect.

So the question I need to ask myself is:

"Do you feel adventurous, punk? Well, do ya?"

*giggles nervously*

It will take a very special prompt to go were very few (although it has been done) have gone before.

To be honest, I question whether or not it is even bestiality. He's not actually a dog but as you say a man in a somewhat elaborate costume. The real question is whether or not Hermione would tolerate this sort of adventursome sex. To write smut I have to be turned on by what I'm writing and I'm just not by this scenario so that complicates things further.

Hmmmm... this is one of those things where "only the brave shall venture", I suspect. Oddly, it's kind of strange to think about because, I mean, he wouldn't really be a dog, because he'd still be Sirius but, on the other hand omgwtf he'd still be a dog. Hence the dilemma. Let's just say that bestiality is one of the few things that I find potentially squicky (obviously I've spent too much time in the company of Greek mythology not to find it automatically squicky, huh), and I don't actually read it normally, but would be willing to take a try if you're bold enough to write it...

I'm not sure I can take it any farther than this to be perfectly honest. Not something I seek out either although I have run across it.

I'm right there with you on the omgwtf he'd still be a dog.

because he'd still be Sirius but, on the other hand omgwtf he'd still be a dog.

lol

I like that they both know the implications that surround this, but don't talk about what it resembles. It seems rather natural, however, for them to discuss it (not do anything, that is to say) since they are married here.

What concerns me most about the animagi thing isn't, ahem, er, you know, but that JK Rowling never properly explains the clothing after a transformation. And having seen Sirius in his faux fur velour robe in the OotP film sorts out nothing for me, just adds to the confusion.

Great job. ;)

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

Well, I agree. Does clothing egual fur? I rather think that in her mind the whole of the wizard or witch, wand and all, turns into the animal.

The more I try and think about this the more I realize that this is not really something I'm going to explore, ah...fully. I just don't write an anything goes sort of experience. I think he would tease her about it, just to see it make her blush, but I don't believe, that in the way I understand them, they would ever take this to very, uh, special place.

From: [identity profile] duck-or-rabbit.livejournal.com

I would be perhaps easier to explore if Hermione was the star in your pairing and not Sirius (I know you love her, but you are most inspired to write because of him, I think). And if you were to write a scene (won't go any further than saying that) with him as Padfoot, you'd be writing Hermione's POV. Hope that makes sense.

Edit: I mean, you could write it from Sirius' POV, but you'd have to make decision about whether you'd say things like "His paws caressed her" or just write the internal dialouge of Padfoot!Sirius without description of his physical appearance. It could be easier to be in Hermione's head for that.

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

That is a fair statement. I do tend to look at things through him rather than through her. I do love her in all her bossy, swottiness but he's my sugar rush.

But I'm confused, are you saying that if he was Padfoot he couldn't have a POV?

The closest I've come to imagining this play out is to picture him using Padfoot as an extra asset and therefore morphing between the two. Ultimately it just squicks, not delights, so I don't finish the daydream.

From: [identity profile] duck-or-rabbit.livejournal.com

Hmm, wonder why you can't edit.

Oh. I know why. My reply back overlapped with your edit attempted.

From: [identity profile] duck-or-rabbit.livejournal.com

No, I'm not suggesting he couldn't have a pov as Padfoot. It just seems (to me) that if he were a dog, writing what Hermione feels when she's touched by him would be easier than writing what he feels when she touches him.

Try it either way! ;)

This feels like a knock-knock joke! Ok, why didn't James ever transform into Prongs when he and Lily did it?

*snickers*
did it...what are we in 3rd grade, look at the two of us!

From: [identity profile] duck-or-rabbit.livejournal.com

Because James was horny enough when he was a wizard.

Get it? Horns. Antlers.

Totally awesome.

Yes, it was a knock knock joke and you played with me.

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

Does it count as bestiality if Hermione's animagus form is a dog?

Of course then I'm just writing about two dogs fucking.

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

No, huh?

Not even if she is an adorable standard poodle, apricot in color...

From: [identity profile] lakshmi-black.livejournal.com

Interesting set of drabbles, and I don't really know what to say so I'll just wait for the next ones, but again Sirius smugness was great.

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

LOL! It's ok honey, I won't be sailing these murky waters again.

From: [identity profile] padfootslover.livejournal.com

Lol. When I first read this I was completely confused, but I then read the "prequel" to it and now I find it hilarious. Sirius can find humor in any situation.

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

He likes a laugh, our Sirius, doesn't he? Glad you enjoyed it!

From: [identity profile] billeblacklupin.livejournal.com

lol I loved that you made a continuation ans the fact that Sirius could not help but tease her
great job once again

From: [identity profile] siriuslyinluv71.livejournal.com

WHOA!!!!
WAIT!!!

"Maybe you and Snuffles should get better acquainted."

SHIT!

I don't think Hermione would be up for that.....

Hell.... as much as I love Sirius.... I WOULDN'T BE UP FOR THAT. I'd stick his ass in the pound, if he suggested that!

LOL

But amusing!

From: [identity profile] ceredwensirius.livejournal.com

*snickers*

I wrote this to see if I could get squicky with it. I couldn't here but I'm exploring it, slowly, in my own private writing. It doesn't do anything for me which makes writing it tough. It has become an exercise in pushing my tolerances.

I agree with you. Hermione never asks for this but a part of me doubts that Sirius hasn't explored his sexuality this way. So, what is actually bestiality. The man in a dog suit that mates with another dog or the man in his dog suit licking his lady friend. Are they both? Are they neither. It's all so ewwww but I guess as a writer I feel like I have to ask these questions about the character I'm working with.

If I ever finish it I'll probably post it. Just to my flist so if you ever see BEASTIALITY: I ACTUALLY DID IT in the warning you know not to read it.

From: [identity profile] siriuslyinluv71.livejournal.com

No, no, no....

I am open to it. In fact Bestiality is mentioned in one of my fics....

I've read other stories before.... that were rated Nc-17....

I just found the way you wrote it to be comical.
