Regulus wants so much to look away. Every impulse he has is screaming at him to turn his head and walk away; that this is not his concern, but he just can't seem to.

Barty is with him, of course, nattering away about the universe and all its wonders, but the only wonder Regulus can concern himself with is the one regarding the flush in his brother's face.

Lupin is kneeled in front of Sirius' open trousers; Regulus can see a hint of plaid boxers. His head is moving back and forth deliberately, slowly, eyes upturned towards Sirius. He can hear his brother's deep voice softly pleading. Regulus doesn't imagine it will be long now.

This isn't the first time he's caught Sirius but never before has he seen so intense a look on his brother's face. There is a soft look of awe, wonder and devotion mixed in with the usual signs of arousal.

"He's just earned man points with me." Barty has become aware of the proceedings.

Regulus turns him. "Just go," he says. Behind him he hears an oath and then what sounds like, 'oh, fuck Moon.'

Absently, Regulus wonders if Delilah knows and whether or not they frolic together.

He is instantly disgusted with himself.

I think you almost have to either follow or play in the RPG to get this one but it amused me enough to post it here.

You've captured Regulus role as a watcher so very well. His estrangement with Sirius and his self-disgust are so evident, even his reaction towards Barty speaks of it.

The girl who RPs Regulus does such a fabulous job of making him into this sort of twitchy, joyless self hating poncy pureblood... she makes him an absolute delight to write about. I tortured him a bit more than usual by letting him catch his brother (who is engaged to Delilah Wilkes) in an elicit act. Lots of fun. :)

In the RP Reg is very much outside looking in on his gregarious older brother who has no lack of friends while he himself only has Barty Crouch Jr (who is bff and boyfriend). As I said, lots of fun! :)

I find your description of the RP interactions very interesting. I never RPed in my whole life and am just curious about it. I'm also afraid of getting into it, because it looks time consuming. But I imagine that it can be a great way to really get into the head of a character.

RPing is a lot of fun and only as time consuming as you want it to be. If you choose a peripheral character your don't have to play them as much. Of course I play Sirius so that means more interaction.

I didn't know him at all until AIP so it is really you opening him up to me that lets me write about him. Now I adore him, hell... I've got two drabbles where he is the main focus. The inspiration is in how you play him.
