So, I know you've noticed that I've started venturing into general fiction that is not Hermione/Sirius specific but I wanted to let you know that I've also written some slash. I'm still a big believer in my chosen OTP. I love Hermione/Sirius but exploring other things is fun too. I want to keep all my fiction in one place so this is where you will find my slash posted. If you don't think Sirius was gay in canon, guess what? Me either. But allowing yourself to explore is fun and healthy is a good combatant to writers block which I've had recently. Anyway... I've got two slash drabbles that will be posted here and will likely be followed by others. It will be titled and headed so that you know what not to read if you'd prefer.

I'm looking forward to see what you've come up with! :-)

Kudos for trying something different - I hope it works out for your writers block. I agree that it sometimes helps to work on something different for a bit, to help regroup as a writer. That's why I find myself gravitating to my original fics when I get antsy or stuck. On the flip side, though, we're different animals here - I personally tend to get even MORE stuck if I try writing something else with the same character. Even within the same 'ship, much less slashing it up. Just playing with my little JLSH idea has caused a huge lurching stumble in my bigbang project. I guess because then my sense of the character loses its focus, it's doing this one thing over here, and then I start playing with it in a wholly different way over there, and then its drive for the story I should be working on falls to shit. :/

Thank you, honey. It's hard doing something new when no one really wants you to.

Well, I figure that what you write has to be for you, first and foremost, and, while it's hard to know that people might be wishing you were doing something else... you just have to go where the writing leads you. :)

I never knew, never even thought it would be conceivable that I write slash... who knew writing boys together would be so much fun?

Haha, I remember being astonished by it myself. :D

You know what they say about the dark side, though. *hands you cookies*

Haha, why, that we have cookies, of course. :P

But they also say that once you slash you never go back so... hmm.

*grins and hands you more cookies*

chickenwing, I don't mean to butt in, but I'm going to butt in - seems to me, based on just these couple of entires, you already have a little mini-fan base who are completely in favor of your doing something new. Why not just relax and write whatever comes to you? So what if you're in a different headspace ship-wise now than you were six months ago? You've been RPG'ing sirius/remus for months. It would be stupid for you not to have some kind of writing inspiration from that (and honestly not much wonder you're suffering writers block in other ships - there's only so much room in one's head). There are no absolute rules and regulations in fanfic, so just go with it. Those of us who love het!Sirius will cheer you on when you post something Sirius/Hermione, and like I said before, slash!Sirius has a huuuuuge following - more exposure, more encouragement. Stop acting so worried.

I love when you call me chickenwing, and yes ma'am. I hear you. Quit angsting. Got it. I'm not usually this nervous about my writing... but I'll be quiet now.
