We've all seen the ad banners for this or that community with the html code to display said banner in your own lj or comm just below it in a convenient little box. Well, I don't know how to make the convenient little box with html code. Can someone show me how?

Yes please! I have no clue and I'm preparing a banner to be used in the next challenge at hermionesirius. We've got kinda of an exciting little challenge coming up and I want to make it as easy as possible for people to help advertise it.

I only know HTML because I don't use richtext posting, so I hope this helps. Test and see if it's the outcome you want:

[ your text ]

Eliminate the brackets, they're added to protect the code from turning into a box in my comment.

ETA: Hm. The bracket didn't help. How about extra spaces after and before < and >. . .

< textarea > your text < /textarea >

ETA -2: OK, good, yeah, so remove arrow spaces when you create your box!
