While I've got a moment with my mother's computer I just wanted to wish all of my American flisters a happy Thanksgiving. And for all of you, American or not, lots of good thoughts from me to you. I'll be over here again tomorrow to work on my rs_small_gifts piece and will put up a longer post then.

Are you doing okay?! I haven't called because well I haven't had any time except late and I have been going to bed early. Thanks so much for the information.

You are very welcome for the information. I'm always here and will answer any question as honestly as I can and without any sugar-coating or bullshit. Have they given you a name for what you have yet? There are quite a few tests that Tom had to go through, but that was mostly because they first thought he had MS. They knew it had to do with his nervous system. What sort of a work-up have they done on you? Where are they looking?

I hope you have a fantastic holiday! So far, mine has consisted mostly of cooking and getting good news (see my most recent post), but will soon transform into what is very likely to be an awkward yet delicious dinner with my mother, aging hippies, and my gay bosses. Thank GAWD Jason and Greg are coming because they're more like the people she knows. (You know, NOT hippies. LOL.)
I actually finished my
What other fests and upcoming things are you doing? I'm definitely doing your fab-sounding remix thing and thinking about doing the RS Big Bang.
I hope the day with your family was good - or at least bearable.

I'm delighted to hear you are having a nice holiday. My mom would react to hippies like your mom I fear. Sigh. I'm glad she had some people to feel comfortable around.
Congrats on finishing your rs_small_gifts. I would done as well were it not for my computer issues. Ah, well. It will get done. I have written quite a bit on paper. I've got three starts and ideas in each version of the same story I like. I'll just have to see how it turns out when it all comes together. I like the idea I'm working with, it is just making it come together, you know? That is great about you and flaminia_x. I can't wait to read what you guys came up with.
I took a prompt for the mwpp_mischief challenge and I will probably, maybe take a prompt for the remix. I've got two great co-mods for that fest, I put up a filtered post to just them to see if they still want to go forward despite my tech issues. Just waiting to hear back from them. I have a feeling they will say yes, because I can be here on the weekends and I may have a temporary solution that does not involve my mother's computer.
They've not been awful lately. I think having me around more has settled them down somewhat, strangely enough. My mom is decorating the house and has me at her instant disposal while I write and dad is off in San Saba pretending to want to kill things. He rarely does. I think he just likes to get out and putter about the ranch.

Good co-mods are everything. Siriusly. It can make or break a fest. I know because I've had both sorts:
And I'm glad to hear that your parents are being cool. My mom actually had a great time. In her view, Bob and Joe are "characters," but she was able to see that they are truly wonderful people.
How big is your ranch?
