Why is there an obnoxious bar at the bottom of all my LJ pages. I can't make it go away. Seriously, this is pissing me off. There is nothing important enough on that bar, which is in Cyrillic no less, to have a permanent fixture on every page. Was this announced in the last newsletter? I didn't read it because I didn't want my blood pressure to sky rocket. This is really annoying. I'm staring at that stupid star angrily.

LJ why are you making me regret using you at all. Stop it!

what browser are you using? I use chrome and have the black bar, actually one at the top and bottom. However I opened LJ in Safari or Internet explorer and discovered that bar actually houses the advertisements.

I'm using firefox and all I see are ads at the top and bottom of the post. I thought that was standard with the free accounts.

I use firefox and I don't see nay bars. I have a paid account, maybe that makes a difference.

I got it to go away by turning off Cyrillic services.

Hmm... I have nothin'. 'course, I have a paid account. Am also using IE at the moment.

In agreement with others, here - looks like it's where the adverts are going if you use free or expanded account.

Just breathe... breathe... there ya go. Certainly isn't worth getting that upset over. As things go with LJ, you know you can expect the odd quirk now and again.
