“Whenever he’s around I can’t think straight and have the strangest urge to run my fingers through his hair.” Sirius spoke the words seductively in Hermione’s ear, his hot breath startled her, forcing a blush.

She looked up horrorstruck and slightly aroused. A cold trickle of dread danced along her spine while something warmer fizzed in her belly. “How?” she whispered.

“Came addressed for me,” he replied casually, still at her ear. He was close enough for her to feel the heat pouring off his body.

Struggling for purchase, her mind grasped at any tendril of reason. “Why?”

He shrugged, smug, not going anywhere, anytime soon. “Mercury is in retrograde.” He rolled his eyes when she didn’t understand. “Communication goes all wonky.”

“Rubbish,” she muttered darkly.

“Really?” he asked amused. “Then why is your letter to Ginny in my hands?”

Having no answer to that question she opted to glare hoping it would have some affect on the twisted little smile he was affecting. It didn’t. It only encouraged him.

“I wonder…how’s your thinking right about now?” She was caught in his gaze like a mouse hypnotized by the cobra. “I bet your fingers would feel wonderful in my hair…”

Did you know we are actually in Mercury retrograde at the moment? Until the 19th! That's what made me think of it!

I should, I know, seeing as it's 1:20 am, but I started the grand notebook type-up earlier, and then discovered an even older notebook, which had fics in it that I'd promised people at Christmas time (my bad!!!) and am in the middle of polishing one of them off, a Luna/Harry piece and it's so close to finished that it seems daft to go to bed now, lol.

And, yes, you are perfectly right, the further I move through the notebooks, the closer I come to yours! *grins in a maniacally sleep-deprived way* Actually, I'm more awake than I was at my grandparent's place. Sitting watching "Deal Or No Deal" with my Opa almost put me to sleep, I confess. This is much more interesting, lol!

My grandfather was Opa too! My mom is from Germany. I grew up with a lot of not-American names for relatives.

So did the semester finally end for you? It seems like your year takes longer than ours. (info from friends, I'm too old for school)

My Mum was born in Germany too - I'm a dual citizen myself!

And yes, the semester has most blissfully finally come to an end. I am now a free woman until the end of July, with nothing to do but read next term's textbooks (when I find out what they are!) and write fiction, hehe.

I'm glad you kept writing, the more Sirius/Hermione interaction the better. By the way, any previsions about when you'll post the next chapter of Innocence? I'm really curious about the baby girl's name.

I agree that there is not enough Sirius/Hermione out there. I follow one story with what can only be described as religious ferver and wait rather impatiently for each new installment.

The next chapter of Innocence is in the capable hands of my beta being dissected as we speak. I don't usually use a beta (too impatient) but I had an issue with the last chapter that I needed to remedy with the next one. The girl's name is revealed with the next chapter!

I'm working on the chapter right after that right now and might be ready a week after the one being beta'd. We'll see...there are a couple of life events so I'm working those out. Then its just one more chapter and the epilogue and I'm done.
