Author‘s Note I cannot honestly explain what happened here. I meant to write you a drabble, and clearly that got way out of hand. So, um, sorry. I know you like h/c stories, and I wanted to give you something like that, but I had to think and think of some way to hurt one of them without making me either roll my eyes at myself or irrationally angry. Hmm, so, this is what I came up with, I do hope you like it. The prompts were ‘building a fire‘ ‘getting lost‘ and ‘velvet.’ I used all three. Very happy birthday (though very, very late *meep*). Title and excerpt taken from the poem Spontaneous Me, by Walt Whitman. Also, thank you towhitmans_kiss for the beta.

ilexx wrote me this delicious bit of smut, aaaaand its a muse!fic (I seem to have started something....AWESOME!!!!) There is Sirius/Hermione hotness and a chocolate cake for me! I think that says it all: Birthday smut for me!
wickedswanz made me this lovely banner which will live in my profile:
In additon to these goodies there were lots of well wishes, good conversation with a concerned friend, my dad spent an obscene amount of money on the car (getting far more done than we had discussed and rather sneakily - I nearly fainted when I saw the bill) and it was a banner day for Sirius/Hermione posting (hence why I am STILL not asleep when I really, really should be). Plus I am eagerly awaiting a Sirius/Hermione gift fic fromthanfiction who is a singularly gifted writer. I read his stuff which is way out of my comfort zone but his writing is such a pleasure and there is just something wonderful about reading from Sirius; POV when written by a man.
Tom sent me a personal email to wish me a happy birthday. I honestly can't say whether it would hurt more if he hadn't or because he did. I think there would a pang in my heart either way.
