Sirius had hinted at this, on long lonely nights in the family home. Subtle suggestions that there was more to Remus then her silly crush was allowing for. Not that he would ever call it that. Surprisingly, Sirius was a true romantic who encouraged her to 'take him by the balls'.

How romantic indeed.

Remus hadn't made it an easy task, but Sirius knew him well. Prior to his death, he had been her confidant and cheerleader. He had warned her though, cautioning her that Remus had... depths to him, that she was unaware of.

When questioned how he knew, Sirius would only smile and say he had known Remus a long time. Then he would assure her that her talents made her uniquely suited to Remus.

"It would have been nice if you had explained that a bit more thoroughly," said Tonks to an absent ghost, while staring in the mirror at a face that was not hers.
