I'm glad you like but I don't think its too hard to imagine him lonely and angry and wishing for things he thinks he can't have. I actually think his 'bouts of the sullens' may have been about self pity to some extent. All he's ever had really is time to think and even though he and Hermione are NOT canon I let my mind wander with the idea that he didn't die and his name was cleared and he felt this way about her. He's known to speak sharply, even to those he cares for although, as in the case of Harry asking about Bellatrix, he softened immediately. Angry!Sirius was popular in this ship a few years ago, I guess this is me taking him for a walk. :)
