Characters: Sirius/Hermione, Ginny/Harry
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters.
Summary: Sirius surprises Harry and Ginny with an innocent question.
Author's Note: Follow up to Sexual Education. Written as a missing scene from Innocence.
"So, learn anything new?" asked Sirius politely, joining Hermione, Harry and Ginny at the dining room table. The color in Ginny's face grew exceptionally bright, even for a Weasley. Harry coughed uncomfortably and looked at Sirius in wide eyed shock.
"Excuse me?" asked Harry, a trace of disbelief in his voice.
"Anything new, you know, strategy, spells, that sort of thing. They must be teaching you something at the Auror Academy." Their strange reaction raised his suspicion but there was nothing he could tie it to.
Ginny's highpitched, ridiculous giggle, a giggle that remarked strongly of relief, was out of place and strange. Glancing swiftly at his wife, he noticed the slight smirk on Hermione's face along with a pink blush of her own and tried to catch her eye with a raised eyebrow.
"Jus-just thought of something funny. Totally unrelated," answered Ginny nervously, blushing brighter when she caught Hermione's smug little grin, almost regretting having shared what Harry was a witness to. Not to mention where that had led.
Privately amused that her husband's role of godfather provided an education for Harry she was certain Lily never intended, Hermione mentally distanced herself with her own role in said education.
