I'm really glad that you've acknowledged this. It's very important in a potential relationship and a big part of who Remus is.

He always does this, Remus thought, well familiar with Sirius's fast-talking and bargaining to get what he wanted. Giving in would just make it harder and harder to draw the line later.
I think this could well have been a great deal of Sirius' personality too.
