Warnings/Notes: Ridiculous fic that is descending into weird but at least its not trope, right? Unless you count the three nameless books, but we’re not, ok? I’ve not written much kink fic (only one comes to mind), so everything up til now has been set up so I can explore writing that with Sirius/Hermione. Am I aware the premise doesn’t hold water? Pretty much, yeah.

It took an evening alone, while Hermione was out visiting with friends, to stumble across the answer to his problem. They often read together in the evenings in her private study and he went in looking for something he had left behind. Sitting on top of her desk were those three pesky books, one of them was open.

“Doing a little research, pet?” he murmured quietly to himself. “Not so disinterested after all.”

Perhaps their merry little war had taken on a life of its own and now that she’d had some time to ponder, she felt shy about asking for…

Well, he didn’t know did he, but the answers were all here, right between the pages of these books. Since he knew she would be out for a while, Sirius sat and began to flip through for some clue, anything really. As it happened, Hermione had carefully wedged small slivers of parchment between the sheets as bookmarks. If he hadn’t chanced upon the open book, or examined the pages it wouldn’t look as though she had been perusing the contents or interested in something in particular.

The aforementioned war was still in full swing with no relenting on either side. She still pranced around half-clothed and wiggling that bitable little bum for all she was worth. He had lost all discretion when he wanked because he knew she liked to watch. No kinks, my arse, he thought with a grin. It was vicious, dirty and frustrating for both sides.

There was no way to be sure which bookmarks represented a serious interest, and which were just curiosity and wonderment. Most of them didn’t even require a second trip to that shop for accessories, because they either had the necessary at home or all they really needed were their bodies and an open mind.

As he flipped through the pages, noting which sections were marked and such, he noticed that there was a theme riding under the current of every selection. His tightly controlled witch wanted the freedom to step outside of that with him, to explore her sexuality in ways that gave herself to him in fascinating and frightening ways. For his part, he was more than happy to help her out of her carefully constructed shell. He could however, see why she was so reluctant to come forward with this. It was outside of the norm for her, and it was the norm that she clung too.

A page whispered quietly as he flipped it and found another bookmark, at the same moment he heard a sharp, dismayed gasp from the doorway.

“None of this repulses me, Hermione,” he said quickly, reassurance in his grey eyes. “Lets end this silliness and let me give you what you need. I’m more than game, sweetheart.”

Two bright splotches illustrated the shame she was feeling, but Sirius just held his hand out to her with a soft, encouraging smile. Eventually, she ducked her chin, and crossed to him where he sat in a large comfortable chair. He swiveled the it around, letting her crawl into his lap and curl up like a small hurt thing. Bringing the book around in front of them both, he opened to a particular page and asked her why it appealed.
