So maybe Sirius wasn’t the casually interested party he claimed to be, that this was for her and only for her. After deciding that maybe she really was vanilla, not kinks, and they’d had a satisfying sex life without the need for it to get weird, Hermione left the stack of three books under a low table in their generous flat and forgot about them.

The thing about books, is that like Hermione, they are for the most part fairly predictable, at least until you get into the pages. Unless it is a mad book assigned by Hagrid which nips at your fingers, or a book on invisibility that no one can actually find, they will, for the most part, always behave in the same way. They certainly don’t move around flats without assistance.

When Hermione woke one morning and went into the kitchen, light streaming through windows and the shadows chased away until evening came round again, there beside her cup of steaming coffee were the three forgotten books. Sirius was no where to be found. Later, as she dressed for work, in the drawer with her knickers were those same three books. Sirius was no where to be found. When she pulled back the curtains to step into the shower, there in the bottom of the stall were the three, now completely irritating, books.

This was completely ridiculous.

“I’m not amused!” she shrieked as she threw the books into the bedroom.

There was of course no answer, because Sirius was no where to be found.
