Well, that was faster than last time.

The onset of pain was just as swift as last time but it was gone very quickly. Like, I was still in the ambulance when and one second I'm gripping the side of the stretcher to ground myself and the next second it is simply... over. Gone. Once again none of the usual triggers in play. So, anyway, I'm home. A little weirded out if I'm honest. I don't want to feel that every week up until the surgery. What if these attacks start coming closer together?

I've got a shopping list of stuff I don't usually eat put together to try and do a little short term prevention. Hope it works, especially because I hate cooking. I refuse to eat beets (yuck) but I will eating cold water fish with sweet potatoes (????) and green beans. And apple juice. And grapes. (blech - what a combination, also, I HATE cooking for just myself) A lot. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] remuslives23  for pointing me in the direction of the gallbladder diet. I've got to do something.

I've done what I'm supposed to do and will continue to do so. I felt the pain and called the paramedics (because there is no way I could drive in that much pain) and got looked at and am now home.

My parents came up to the hospital when I called to let them know what was going on. They gave me a ride home and my mom and I got into a fight. It's boring really, there is just one thing I like to say: I. am. 40. not. 12. There, that's better.

So glad the pain eased quickly this time, hon. The diet is just awful, isn't it? My operation was a few months after my worst attack and I literally cried at the thought of having to eat all of that for so long. I was more scared of the pain than I was horrified by the diet, though, so I tried. I did lose about 15 kilos (which has since come back with several friends).

*hugs you*

I'm glad that you got over the pain so fast. And even if the diet doesn't appeal to you, it's better than suffering until you've had your operation. *hug*

Ouch. Hang in there! Interesting menu. I could handle everything but the sweet potatoes and apple juice.

And, listen, regarding mothers, my mom and I have always had very different personalities and opinions and we fought quite a bit, but a few years ago we actually had this rather huge/cathartic...thing...talk...I don't know. But it was brutally honest, anyway. And things have been amazingly better since then. No fights at all. Just saying that things can actually change for the better sometimes, even when your mother is still treating you like 12. :)
