I will never understand the Snape love or where it stems from. I just could never get over the fact that he was abusive to an 11 year old boy. Did he save Harry's life? Sure. He's still abusive.

And yeah, I know Sirius is a douche. But I didn't see him be abusive to Harry for two books before he showed up.
