It is incredibly easy to import content over to your DW account. I do so regularly to keep that journal up to date. But there is nothing pretty about that journal and I'm not enthused about learning how to use CSS over there which is apparently a different beast than on LJ. My profile bio is written in basic html. It's a style sheet I got somewhere but it doesn't work the same. It's a big mess that I'm not sure how to fix and even if I did fix it, it would just get unfixed the next time I imported from LJ.

They don't respect our privacy, they don't give us the basic dignity of leaving comments from people we care about in our journals if they happen to leave LJ. Those are memories and good times and history and its all lost.

What would need to happen is that everyone agrees to move our interaction over to DW. There would need to be a sister comm on DW that mirrors in content, purpose and intent the existing comm on LJ. I'm not terribly hopeful for that to happen.

In 2007 a few comms managed the move over to IJ. daily_deviant, pornish_pixies, erotic_elves, among others. But most of fandom is firmly entrenched right here on LJ. How would a move enmasse even take place? I don't know that it could. I'm doubtful.
